WHATS AGE GOT TO DO WITH IT?

AM I TOO OLD TO START A NEW CAREER?

Am I the only one with self-doubt? Frozen in fear that I will be judged?  Just who do I think I am? I’m not an expert..so what makes me think anyone will listen?????  All the words my brain keeps repeating. 

Is your brain screaming at you too!

I think of all the women that I see that are taking big risk in their 50’s and beyond to do what they love.  Most will never be famous to any one other than their family or close friends.  However, there are a few very public people that we see making what we feel are risky ventures.

For example one of them is Oprah. She walked away from a successful show just so she could do OTHER things she loved. She bought into Weight Watchers-WW in her 60’s. She loves food, wants to be healthy, wants to help others…it’s NOT about the money to her.  She has money.

Here’s the thing. Time is running out for me. The window of opportunity is open now…age will close that window. If not now… the alternative is never. 

I can’t accept doing nothing!  I’m not ready for the rocking chair just yet!

So you will see me coaching and teaching more… not to businesses, no longer on the corp level… but more one to one in smaller groups. My focus has changed.

I want to get to know people and cultivate relationships on a personal level. I want to know if I can make a difference in lives. 

One of my coaches and mentors is John C Maxwell. He is in his 70s , still going strong, speaking to millions around the world. He is proof that age is of no significance. 

• Recently, an extensive study in the U.S.A found that the MOST productive age in human life is between 60-70 years of age.
• The 2nd most productive stage of the human being is from 70 to 80 years of age.
• The 3rd most productive stage is from 50 to 60 years of age.
• The average age of NOBEL PRIZE winners is 62 years old.
• The average age of the presidents of prominent companies in the world is 63 years.
• The average age of the pastors of the 100 largest churches in the U.S.A. is 71.
• The average age of the Popes is 76 years.

This tells us in a way that it has been determined, that the best years of your life are between 60 and 80 years.

A study published in NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE found that at age 60, you reach the TOP of your potential and this continues into your 80s.

Therefore, if you are between 60 -70 or 70-80 you are in the BEST and 2nd level of your life.
